The Citizens United ruling should be a loud call for all Citizens to....unite as Union Members! (Updated)
While the Democratic and Republican citizens have used their right of free speech to blame each other, the corporate and financial elite laughed all the way to the bank with our money and our future. What is now being realized (In Wisconsin and around the USA) is that the corporate and financial lobbyists have been playing both sides against the middle class by throwing huge amounts of money into political campaigns. As the citizens began to awaken and recognize the real enemy, the lobbyists and their ilk decided to pit the private employees against unions and public employees, in an attempt to turn the middle class against itself. The middle class is no longer buying it. We can now start to see that divisive issues have been framed for us in ways which lead us to ask the wrong questions and fight the wrong battles with…… ourselves. Being divided, the law of the land, one man, one vote, is useless. History shows us that Unions are proven to be the best way for join people together against corporate and financial greed. It worked 75 years ago, it and it will work today. The citizens are an effective threat to corporate and financial greed only if they are ORGANIZED. Go Union. Go IAM.
